Behaviour Guidelines

Students are expected to conduct themselves with a sense of pride, self discipline and a strong commitment to the studio in all areas of their performances. A responsible attitude and a respect for others are to be reflected in the students’ behaviour both inside and outside the studio.

Students should:-

  • Attend class on time, dressed in the correct MDC uniform, with a positive attitude
  • Attend all classes
  • Be committed to giving 100% effort in all classes
  • Respect personal and studio property and promote a safe and healthy environment
  • Students must show responsibility for their own property
  • Bring their pom poms and cheer shoes to each class
  • Leave all food, mobile phones, school bags etc in the waiting room.  Cheer/Dance gear only inside the studio.  Students are permitted water bottles inside.

Class Selection:

We use age as a guideline to help determine appropriate placement of our students, however, we do not keep any students in a class that is clearly not to his or her level.

We encourage students progression through the levels however will not place students into classes if they can not demonstrate the work correctly.  This is for their own safety.

All cheer classes will also have performance work involved.

Extra Opportunities:

Throughout the year extra opportunities for camps, skills clinics, coaching courses are available to all students, regardless of age or ability.  Details of such events will be sent to parents and made available on studio notice board.  It is up to each individual student to decide if they would like to participate in these events, they are not compulsory however are a great way to build on skills, learn new tricks and have fun.

I ............................................................................................   agree to the above conditions and understand what is
required of me to participate in the Cheerleading at MDC for 2012.  I agree to work as part of  a team
and attend all classes and work towards a good competition series in 2012.

Signed: ...........................................................    Date: .................................................................

Parents  Signature: ...................................................................................................................

By signing the above, parents agree to have their student available for both training times and
competition days.  Parents also agree to pay the associated costs involved for the events, with the
understanding that any interstate events will be decided on at a designated meeting at the beginning of the year.

J LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT YEAR OF CHEERLEADING, FUN, POMS & SPIRIT STICKS J
